Ok, let's be real. Plastic wrap is a pain in the butt. But I promise, I have an easy solution....one that works for covering your leftovers, proofing bread, and also makes a unique gift. Reusable bowl covers are my solution to plastic wrap! These eco-friendly alternatives are not only better for the environment, but they also come in a variety of sizes and materials to fit any kitchen need. I truly believe they're perfect for anyone who likes to cook.

Reduce Plastic Waste

One of the biggest reasons to switch to bowl covers is to reduce your plastic waste. Plastic wrap is a single-use item that often ends up in landfills or oceans, contributing to pollution and harming wildlife. By using bowl covers, you can eliminate the need for plastic wrap and reduce your environmental impact. Here at Wild Clementine Co., our bowl covers are made from cotton and can be ordered with or without a PUL lining, making them easy to use and clean. The PUL lining is food-grade and BPA/PFOS/PFOA-free. However, we offer an organic cotton liner if preferred.

Save Money by Switching to Reusables

Using bowl covers can save you money in the long run by eliminating the need for disposable plastic wrap or foil. Instead of constantly buying new rolls of plastic wrap, you can invest in a set of reusable bowl covers that will last for years. Plus, our bowl covers are machine washable, making them easy to clean and reuse. Especially for avid bakers, the savings add up quickly! By making this small switch in your kitchen, you can save money and reduce your environmental impact at the same time.

No More Plastic-Sticking-to-Itself Frustration

Do you ever go to cover a bowl with plastic wrap, only to end up with the film sticking to itself? It’s so annoying! With our reusable bowl covers, you just have to stretch the elastic over the bowl or dish… and just like that, dish covered. You never have to cuss at your innocent bowls again while trying to untangle that mess! I'll also add that dish covers are a good replacement for foil too!

Easy to Care For

While I appreciate beeswax wraps in some applications, I have found that especially when it comes to covering proofing sticky dough and popping things in the fridge, our cloth bowl covers are significantly easier to care for. If it’s a tiny mess, you can just wipe the offending part clean. Otherwise, you can toss it in the washing machine. With proper care, they last for a long time with very little maintenance. Beeswax wraps require retreating to maintain the wax and you're limited in how you can wash them. You can't fully sterilize beewax wraps so they can't be used for things like raw meat.  Our dish covers are totally safe for covering meat as they can be machine washed and dried!

Add a Pop of Color to Your Kitchen

Bowl covers not only serve a practical purpose, but they can also add a fun and colorful touch to your kitchen. We pride ourselves on offering an exciting variety of colors and patterns to choose from, allowing you to match your bowl covers to your kitchen decor or even to the season. Plus, they can be a great conversation starter when entertaining guests in your home. A lot of eco-friendly products are super minimalist and if I'm honest, a tad plain.  I think it's much more fun to open he fridge to colorful prints that make food storage just a bit more...exciting?! Say goodbye to boring plastic wrap and hello to stylish and eco-friendly bowl covers!
